Chewy's Happy Tail....

When we adopted Chewy about 8 weeks ago, I wondered if he was ever going to come to love us. He is seven years old, well mannered and very sweet. He was extremely shy and confused at first and wouldn’t even look us in the eye. It didn’t take long for him to settle in and become our friend; however, he would not show us any affection. Although he would sleep with us at night and follow us around everywhere, we knew we still had a ways to go to earn his trust and love. All that changed a couple of weeks ago. We had left Chewy home alone for a few hours and when we came home, he was so excited to see us, he ran back and forth between us to give us kisses and finally jumping in our laps and nuzzling us. That was the turning point for all of us. Since then, he has been loving and attentive. We feel so lucky to have him and I think he is now happy to have us
