Katie's Happy Tail....

Note from MSR (the Rescue): Katie was well loved by her family but because of a very sick child in the household, Katie no longer got the attention she deserved. As with Katie's family, sometimes life throws us curves and no matter how much we love our companion animals, we are forced to give them over to the care of someone who can give them a better life. We found that for Katie, and her foster mom still wishes she would have adopted her.

As long as I have known my fiancé, Alice, she has wanted a miniature schnauzer. When we finally decided we were ready for a dog, we were torn between wanting a specific purebred dog and also wanting to adopt a dog from a rescue or shelter. MSR was the perfect solution!

When we met Katie, it was pretty much love at first sight. She is an adorable 5-year-old, silvery-black miniature schnauzer who is well mannered, loving, and... PERFECT! (She even has natural "floppy" ears like we wanted.)

By adopting an adult dog, we were spared all the burden of training, chewing, accidents, late-night walks, etc., that come with a puppy. In many things, Katie knows what to do better than we do.

We have had almost no problems with the adjustment and transition when adopting Katie. Katie made us part of "her pack" and took us into her heart nearly as quickly as we took her into ours.

We would recommend MSR to anyone wanting to adopt a schnauzer. They have been prompt and helpful both before and after the adoption.
